Field Service Technician
The applicant will be a self-driven technician with the ability to schedule and perform work on their own with minimal supervision. The desired applicant shall have a minimum 5 years’ experience in the electric motor repair industry, specializing in field testing and analyzing of electric motors in operating environments. Applicants shall be familiar with vibration analysis, MCE testing, rotating equipment balancing, infrared imaging and electric motor alignments, with some of these being conducted in the repair facility. This position is an hourly, full-time position that reports directly to the Field Service/Quality Assurance Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Perform vibration data collection routes, including analysis and reports on collected data.
• Perform MCE testing on electric motors, including analysis and reports in collected data.
• Perform alignment services to align electric motors to driven equipment.
• Perform infrared imaging surveys with infrared camera, including analysis and reports on collected data.
• Schedule with customers timing on field service work.
Additional Responsibilities:

- The applicant will be able to operate air powered grinding tools, over-head crane, pressure washer, sand blaster, air powered paint gun and operate a forklift. We would desire for the applicant to have a minimum level of education/ experience: high school diploma or equivalent. This position is an hourly, full-time position that reports directly to the utility department supervisor.
Primary Responsibilities: - Cleaning electric motor and pump parts using various tool
- Painting motors using aerosol paint cans
- Stripping winding from cores after burnout
- Sand blasting
- Unloading and loading parts in ovens
- Operating ultra-sonic cleaner
- Moving parts around with a forklift
- Use various hand-held stationary power and non-power tools, including but not limited to: band saws, belt sanders, hand grinders, files, etc.
- Lift, tighten, adjust and/or secure heavy objects in order to perform work and/or to observe safety precautions
- Observe all safety procedures and use proper protective gear (especially eye and ear protection)
- Assist other utility workers in department with skilled or non-skilled duties as directed

• Inspect various kinds of electromechanical equipment for damage and evidence of electrical malfunctions.
• Test condition of windings according to EASA AR100.

This position is an hourly, full-time position that reports directly to the machine shop supervisor.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-trip safety check of delivery vehicles, including but not limited to brakes, steering column, lights and mirrors, prior to each leg of journey to ensure road readiness.
- Inspect trailers before and after loading, paying attention to status of air lines and jack positions and adjusting them as necessary.
- Follow and maintain safe loading protocols, using chains and binders to safely secure cargo and re-checking their stability throughout trips.
- Assist in loading cargo at home office, maintaining product quality throughout conveyance.
- Assist in unloading cargo when delivery sites are understaffed, maintaining product quality throughout conveyance.
- Correctly and properly log drive, break, on-duty and off-duty hours in the electronic DOT log system, adhering to all DOT laws and regulations.
- Observe all (Allen’s and Customer’s) safety policies and procedures and use proper personal protective equipment. (especially eye and ear protection).
- Adhere to traffic safety regulations, exercising caution in treacherous circumstances. Report unsafe vehicle or road conditions to supervisors.
- Use GPS to stay informed of route information and communicate with supervisors.
- Contribute to company data by honestly recording times of delivery and hours worked and complete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis.
- Report any, and all, mechanical and/or electrical malfunctions with delivery vehicles or trailers to supervisor in timely manner.
